Since 2020, PhotoAccess and Plumwood Mountain have partnered to deliver an annual Forest Stories workshop. Building on the success of the this series, PhotoAccess and Plumwood Mountain are introducing an annual Forest Stories artist-in-residence opportunity. The residency aims to support the development of visual ecological narrative practice within the region. To read more about the residency click here.
Plumwood Mountain is an independent conservation organisation managing the Plumwood Mountain property to protect its diverse ecology and to carry on the legacy and philosophy of environmental philosopher, Val Plumwood. An internationally recognised scholar, Plumwood lived for over thirty years in a stone cottage in a clearing in the forest on the mountain, producing works that continue to challenge us to understand and value such places and re-imagine our relationships with the more-than-human world.
Hear what our panellists have to say about their unique connections to Plumwood Mountain, and what you might expect as part of the residency.
